Equipment rental

We ask that you arrive at the meeting point of your tour with the required personal equipment. To make it easier for you, Mont Blanc Experience offers equipment rental deals with our partners or directly with us.
At the beginning of the tour, your guide will make sure that everyone has the right equipment for the given activity :

- For mountaineering : crampons, ice axe, harness (with a security carabiner) and helmet.
- For glacier trekking : crampons, ice axe, harness (with a security carabiner).
- For via ferrata : helmet, harness (with a security carabiner) and special via ferrata leash (with shock absorber system).
- For ski touring : boots and skis, ski poles, ski touring crampons, skins, a tranceiver, a snow shovel and a snow probe. For the glacier tours : + crampons and harness (with a security carabiner).
- For snow shoeing : snowshoes, poles, a tranceiver, a snow shovel and a snow probe.

Your guide will take care of the collective security equipment (rope, slings, ice screws...).

Please notify it when you make your reservation. We can make a reservation for you in one of our partner shops where we have special deals. If you need some other equipment than mentioned, please ask us and we will see if we can make an arrangement as well (if it is available). .

For information, prices for crampons, ice axe, helmet and harness (with security carabiner) is around:
— 50 € for 3 to 5 days,
— 75 € for 6 to 9 days.
You will have to pay directly to La Haute Route. A deposit will be required.

2 – A rental shop, partner of MBE, exists near your meeting point.

3 – Rental or lending by Mont Blanc Experience.

When there is no partner shop near the meeting point, Mont Blanc Experience offers to rent or lend the equipment. If rented, it will be added on your tour's bill and your guide will bring your equipment at the meeting point.

- a tranceiver
- a snow shovel and a snow probe in the group or for each depending on the exposure of the tour.
