In Swizerland, between Diablerets and Gruyère, the authentic "land of above" is a renown mountain range, famous for its green pastures and its beautiful landscapes : peaceful meadows and quiet forests. Itinerary
D 1/ Aigle - Adventure park - Leysin
Meeting at the train station in Aigle in early afternoon. Transfer to the adventure park to have fun on the zip lines, ropebridges and other forest installations. Different routes offer great moments hanging in the trees. Late afternoon, we walk down to the cog railway station and up to Leysin-Village. We wettle down in a 2** hotel for diner and night. Your guide will present the program, the equipment and the techniques for orienteering and security.
D 2/ Leysin - Le Temeley - Mosses pass
Transfer to the farm in Temeley pasture where we have breakfast and discover the local production and the fabrication of cheese. We meet the farmer before starting our hike towards Mosses pass. The trail leads us to Fers ridge before hiking down under the top of mont d'Or to the Mosses village. Last hike up above the village to reach the Indian village. We settle in a tepee for diner and night.
D 3/ Mosses pass - Lioson lake - Lioson hut
Hike up to Lioson lake, in the Chaussy peak pastures. First break at the log cabin on the lake bank. We tour the lake, meeting hikers and fishermen. Walk in the meadows and back to Lioson hut for diner and night.
D 4/ Lioson hut - Praz-Cornet - L'Etivaz - Château d'Oex - La Braye
Hike towards the Praz-Cornet pasture, then hike down to the bottom of the valley under the Arpilles ridge. We get to the village of Etivaz, renown for its cheese and its typical farming cooperative. Visit of the cheese factory. Transfer to Château d'Œx, charming village and cable car to La Braye, at the top of the ski slopes where the panorama is beautiful on the Gruyère range. Settlement in our hostel for diner and night.
D 5/ La Braye - Mike Horn Family Adventure Park - La Braye
The Mike Horn Family is a unique adventure park, created to honor Mike Horn, the world renown swiss adventurer, who toured the world several times and achieved great expeditions. Different fun activities are offered in the park. Back to our hostel at the end of the day .
D 6/ La Braye - La Pierreuse - Château d'Oex - Aigle
Hike in la Pierreuse, preserved nature reserve under the beautiful peaks of Gummfluh. We walk back to Château d'Œx where we retrieve our luggage at the cable car station. Transfer to Aigle in the afternoon.
NB : There is no given timing, it will depend on the activities and the children.
