Straight up ! In Chamonix, its the creed for the guides and the Mont Blanc lovers. No detour on the ascent of the top of the Alps : the Payot ridge to the Vallot shelter then the "Bosses" ridge straight up to the top. This route through Tete Rousse and Gouter huts is the easiest way to reach the Mont Blanc. This itinerary with two nights in the mountain during the ascent gives you comfortable chances of succes.

Itinerary
D 1/ Saint-Gervais - Bellevue - Tête-Rousse hut
Meeting at the train station in Saint-Gervais-LeFayet. Cog railway to Voza pass and Bellevue (great overlook on Chamonix valley) then to the Nid d’Aigle (2372 m), end of the train line and starting point of the Mont Blanc ascent. Hike up to Tete Rousse hut (3167 m). The guide will present the program, equipment and techniques for everyone's security. Diner and night in the hut.
3 h hike. A : 795 m.
D 2/ Tête-Rousse hut - Goûter hut
Late start in the morning. The teams are made (two people plus a guide) and we start our way up. We cross the famous "couloir du Gouter" quickly and carefully and hike slowly up the ridge. Our night in altitude should have rested everyone in order to be in good shape. We reach the Gouter hut (3863 m), overhanging on the mountain. Diner and early sleep.
4 h hike. A : 700 m.
D 3/ Goûter hut - Mont Blanc - Goûter hut - Nid d’Aigle - Saint-Gervais
Very early start ! At 3 AM, we start our ascent with headlamps to reach first the Gouter dome. The sun rises while we get to the Vallot shelter (4362 m). It gets colder as we get higher on the "Bosses" ridge (4547 m). We reach the top on an incredibly beautiful ridge around 7 or 8 AM : an unforgettable experience ! The panorama on the Alps is unique : the Mont Blanc range obviously but also the Matterhorn and the Mont Viso! After the traditional pictures, we start our long way down back to the Nid d'Aigle. Train back to Saint-Gervais-Le Fayet.
10 h hike. A : 1000 m - D : 2 450 m.
