Around the top of Europe, the Tour du Mont Blanc passes through three countries (France, Italy, Swizerland) and meets the incredible beauty of this prestigious range of mountains.  An unmissable hike, for all hikers who want to experience a myth.

Itinerary

D 1/ Saint-Gervais-Le Fayet - Le Champel - Chalets de Miage

Meeting in Saint-Gervais-Le Fayet. Transfert to Champel, above val Montjoie, for a warm-up hike to the chalets de Miage hut (1559 m), charming meadow overlokked by the dômes de Miage. Your guide will present  the program, the equipment and the techniques for orienteering and security. Diner and night in the hut.
1 h 30 hike. A : 350 m.

D 2/ Chalets de Miage - Armancette - Nant-Borrant

The path through the chalets d'Armancette overlooks the val Montjoie, between and the Beaufortain range. In the valley, a former roman road leads to the rest house of  Nant-Borrant (1460 m).
5 h hike. A : 800 m. D : 600 m.

D 3/ Nant-Borrant - Fours pass - Les Chapieux

The gradual climb to the famous  Bonhomme Pass (2329 m) that opens the path to the south of the range. From the Fours pass (2716 m), you can go on to the tête des Fours for an even greater view. Descent in the meadows in the Glaciers valley to spend the night in la Nova hostel in les Chapieux (1705 m).
7 h hike. A : 1300 m. D : 800 m.

D 4/ Les Chapieux - Seigne pass - Chécroui pass

Through the screes of the Seigne pass, you reach the Val Veny and enter Italy. The south-east side of the Mont Blanc is quite impressive (Brenva glacier) ! Night int eh rest house at Chécroui pass (1956 m).
6 h hike. A : 1100 m. D : 950 m.

 

 

 

D 5/ Chécroui pass - Courmayeur - Arnuva - Ferret pass - Champex

After reaching the village of Courmayeur, transfer by bus to Arnuva, at the end of the Italian Val Ferret. The ascent to the Grand Ferret Pass (2537 m) offers an amazing view on the Grandes Jorasses and Mont Dolent. You enter Swizerland at the pass and hike down in the Swiss Val Ferret  (1740 m). Transfer by bus and night in an hostel in Champex.
6 h hike. A = D : 800 m.

D 6/ Champex - Fenêtre d'Arpette - Trient - Tré-le-Champs

The "Arpette window" (2665 m) is a narrow pass, key path on our itinerary. After admiring the impressive seracs of the Trient glacier, you reach the namesake village (1280 m), down in the valley. Trensfer to Tré-le-Champs, above the Cahmonix valley, idealy located to gaze at the unforgetable sunset on the Mont blanc. Diner and night in a rest house.
7 h hike. A : 1000 m. D : 1200 m.

D 7/ Tré-le-Champs - Lac Blanc - La Flégère - Chamonix - Saint-Gervais-Le Fayet

Hike up the grand balcony trail, in the Aiguilles Rouges nature reserve. Mythical panorama on the whole Mont Blanc range reflecting in the lac Blanc (2352 m). Descent on La Flégère and Chamonix to end your Tour du Mont Blanc. Transfer to your starting point in Saint-Gervais-Le Fayet.
6 h hike. A  : 900 m. D : 1200 m.
