Four days ski touring in the beautiful and wild setting of the Vanoise national park, at the end of the Val d'Isère valley. The itinerary is partly on glaciers and links three comfortable mountain huts to reach two main summits : the Méan-Martin spike (3330 m) and the Sana spike (3436 m), from which the panorama on the Alps is extraordinary.

Itinerary

D 1/ Val-d’Isère (1850 m) - Fond des Fours hut (2537 m)

Meeting in early afternoon at the toursit office of Val-d’Isère (73). We leave behind us the crowd of the resort to enter the Vanoise national park, calm and peaceful. Ski up to Fond des Fours hut to spend the night.
A: 700 m.


D 2/ Méan-Martin spike (3330 m) - Femma hut (2352 m)

Ski up the Fours glacier to Méan-Martin spike from which we overlook the upper Arc valley and admire all the Vanoise glaciers. Downhill on the Roches-Blanches glacier and in the Rocheure glen to reach the Femma hut. Diner and night in the hut.
A: 800 m. D: 980 m.

D 3/ Sana pass (3072 m) - Leisse hut (2487 m)

Ski up to Barmes de l'Ours (3077m) then go down on the glaciers to Sana pass (3072 m). From there, we reach the Leisse hut, at the bottom of the impressive Grande-Motte (3653 m). Diner and night in the hut.
A: 1150 m. D: 950 m.


D 4/ Sans-Nom pass (2999 m) - Grand-Pré spike (3059 m)

We quietly ski up to the Leisse lake (2750 m) and go on to the Sans-Nom pass. It is then a short way to reach the summit of the Grand-Pré spike. We close our loop by a great downhill on Val d'Isère through the Grapillon glen. End of the tour in the afternoon at the tourist office in Val d'Isère.
A: 580 m. D: 1220 m.
