Level 3: An average of 4 to 5 hours of hiking per day on well-marked trails and/or 600 to 800 meters of vertical gain, and/or distances up to 15 kilometers.Level 4: An average of 6 hours of hiking per day on well-marked trails or off trail, and/or 700 to 1000 meters of vertical gain, and/or distances of 15 to 18 kilometers.
Level 5: An average of more than 6 hours of hiking per day off trail or on rugged terrain, with more than 1000 meters of vertical gain (and/or distances up to 20 kilometers). Possibly sections at high altitude.
Level 6: An average of more than 7 to 8 hours of strenuous hiking per day off trail or on rugged terrain, with more than 1000 meters of vertical gain and/or distances up to 20 kilometers. Possibly sections at high altitude.

The price includes / does not include
— 6 nights in hotel in double or triple room with breakfast.
— Dinners for days 2 and 3.
— A guidebook in English and 1 IGN map sent to the first hotel (one information pack for 2 to 4 people).
— An active digital off line application with GPS Tracks and geo located photos.
— French occupancy tax (‘taxes de séjour‘).
— If you choose the luggage tranfers option: Baggage transfers as specified.
— Emergency 24/7.
The price does not include:
— Transportation to Menton and return travel from Nice.
— The "single room" supplement.
— Insurance for trip cancellation/interruption, lost/stolen baggage, or assistance.
— For reservations made less than 15 days before the start, all additional fees for priority processing.
— An additional information pack sent to the first hotel (price on request).
— Anything that is not specified in the "included in the price" list.
Other expenses:
— Picnics or packed lunches.
— Dinners in Menton, in Beaulieu-sur-Mer and in Nice.
— Drinks, personal expenses, tips.
— The train between Monaco and Beaulieu-sur-Mer (around €3/person, 2024 rate).
Currencies
Better to have cash in the most remote areas to purchase extras (ex.: for drinks). Huts do not always accept credit cards.
