Hiking : a relatively accessible activity, hiking offers the opportunity to explore a country or a region up close, on foot, and to meet and mingle with the locals. On a traverse or loop, whatever your skill level, embark on one of our through-hikes to immerse yourself in the natural wonders of the great outdoors.
Level 2: An average of 4 to 5 hours of hiking per day on a well-marked hilly path or trail.
Level 3: An average of 4 to 5 hours of hiking per day on well-marked trails and/or 600 to 800 meters of vertical gain, and/or distances up to 15 kilometers.Level 4: An average of 6 hours of hiking per day on well-marked trails or off trail, and/or 700 to 1000 meters of vertical gain, and/or distances of 15 to 18 kilometers.

A beautiful, sustained trekking journey between the sea and the mountains, closely following the legendary path of the Selvaggio Blu. This route winds along the mountainous and spectacular eastern coast of the island. Between Santa Maria Navarrese and Cala Gonone, there are no villages in sight, and you hike along the paths once trodden by shepherds. You take panoramic trails through the heart of the Mediterranean scrub, between limestone cliffs and white sandy coves. Under the gentle Sardinian climate, within a pristine and unspoiled natural environment, you also enjoy pleasant swims in the crystal-clear waters.

Day 1
Arrival in Cagliari or Olbia and transfer to Santa Maria Navarrese

Arrival in Cagliari or Olbia and private transfer to Santa Maria Navarrese, charming little coastal village with a large white sandy beach. Check-in for two nights in a family-run hotel, close to the beach.
Day 2
First hike to Monte d'Oro
Ascent : 700 m (2,296 ft). Descent : 700 m (2,296 ft).
5 hrs of hiking.

Departure on foot from the hotel for a splendid hike leading to a panoramic summit where you can admire the Gulf of Arbatax and the Tortoli plain. It's a loop trail, with the possibility to spend a few hours by the water, just a few steps from the hotel.
Day 3
From Santa Maria Navarrese to the Golgo plateau via Pedra Longa
Ascent : 950 m (2,953 ft). Descent : 400 m (1,312 ft).
6.5 hrs of hiking.

The first stage of the Selvaggio Blu takes you directly into the breathtaking landscapes of this wild route. A pleasant trail along the sea cliff allows easy access to Pedra Longa, a magnificent 80-meter-high limestone monolith emerging from turquoise waters, before a beautiful ascent towards the Golgo plateau.
Day 4
The summit of Punta Salinas and the beach of Cala Goloritze
Ascent : 650 m (1,476 ft). Descent : 650 m (1,476 ft).

A splendid hike leading to a panoramic summit and then to a dreamy beach. From Punta Salinas, the view plunges down to impressive cliffs, including a 120-meter-high rock pinnacle, reflecting on translucent waters that invite you for a swim.
Day 5
From Cala Sisine to Cala Gonone via Cala Luna
Ascent : 950 m (2,953 ft). Descent : 950 m (2,953 ft).

Transfer by 4x4 to Cala Sisine, a beautiful beach, to avoid a long and monotonous stretch of track. After swimming, you quickly ascend to a magnificent arch. Then descend to another dreamy beach, Cala Luna, with its white cliffs dotted with caves. Continue along a beautiful cliffside trail to Cala Fuili and then to the village of Cala Gonone. Check-in for three nights.
Day 6
Last hike to Monte Irveri
Ascent : 600 m (1,969 ft). Descent : 600 m (1,969 ft).

A loop hike from Cala Gonone to Monte Irveri, a summit overlooking the village, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the Gulf of Orosei and the entire route of your journey.

Enjoy the many attractions and activities available in Cala Gonone, such as beaches, sea kayaking, Zodiac boat rentals, mountain biking, and visiting the Bue Marino caves, among others.
Day 8
Transfer to Cagliari or Olbia

Transfer : 1.5 hr to Olbia or 3 hrs to Cagliari.
According to your flight schedule, free time in Cala Gonone before the private transfer to Cagliari or Olbia.
