lvl. 2 to 3Level 2: An average of 4 to 5 hours of hiking per day on a well-marked hilly path or trail.
Level 3: An average of 4 to 5 hours of hiking per day on well-marked trails and/or 600 to 800 meters of vertical gain, and/or distances up to 15 kilometers.Level 4: An average of 6 hours of hiking per day on well-marked trails or off trail, and/or 700 to 1000 meters of vertical gain, and/or distances of 15 to 18 kilometers.
Level 5: An average of more than 6 hours of hiking per day off trail or on rugged terrain, with more than 1000 meters of vertical gain (and/or distances up to 20 kilometers). Possibly sections at high altitude.
Level 6: An average of more than 7 to 8 hours of strenuous hiking per day off trail or on rugged terrain, with more than 1000 meters of vertical gain and/or distances up to 20 kilometers. Possibly sections at high altitude.

This semi-itinerant hiking tour takes you on foot through the most iconic mountain ranges of the Dolomites, combining carefully selected day hikes with the comfort of well-located hotels. From Lake Braies to the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, from Cortina to Alta Badia and on to Val Gardena, each stage reveals a different side of this UNESCO-listed mountain range. The itinerary alternates high-altitude trails, scenic balcony paths, and open alpine plateaus, with route options that allow the level of effort to be adapted to each hiker. Occasional use of cable cars provides access to key viewpoints while helping to manage elevation gain when needed. A balanced mix of dramatic limestone landscapes, pastoral meadows, and far-reaching mountain views, this journey offers a thoughtful and well-paced exploration of the Dolomites for hikers seeking variety, depth, and comfort.

The price includes:
- Accommodation as described: 11 nights in a 3-star hotel (or equivalent), twin/double room.
- Breakfasts from day 2 to day 12.
- Dinner at Lago di Braies hotel (day 1 and day 2).
- Private morning transfer from Lago di Braies to Auronzo car park and private afternoon transfer from Auronzo car park to Cortina d'Ampezzo on day 3.
- Private morning transfer from La Villa Stern to Pederu hut on day 7 (optionnal if you choose this hike).
- Private afternoon transfer from La Villa Stern to Ortisei (or San Christina) on day 9.
- The AltaBadia pass for 3 days.
- The roadbook (as well as maps and reservation vouchers) for a 4 person group.
- In case of emergency, a 24/7 telephone service in English.
- Access to the new mobile phone application (including GPS guidance).
- Fees
for organizing the trip.
The price does not include:
- Transportation to the meeting point at the start of the trip and from the point where the trip officially ends.
- All the dinners (except on day 1 and day 2).
- Local buses for daily transfers.
- Lift around Cortina d'Ampezzo and Ortisei.
- Insurance for trip cancellation/interruption, lost/stolen baggage, or assistance.
- For reservations made less than 15 days before the start, all additional fees for priority processing.
- Everything not described as "included".
Other expenses:
- Any unplanned visits or transfers.
- Pack lunch (about €10-€15 per lunch depending on the location)
- Depending on the hikes you choose, you may need to use the following public transportation and/or chairlifts and gondolas:
- Day 4: Shuttle between Cortina d'Ampezzo and Passo Falzarego (round trip), approximately €6.
- Day 5: Shuttle between Cortina d'Ampezzo and Passo Falzarego (round trip), approximately €6; optional lift to Lagazuoi (one way), approximately €20.
- Day 6: Shuttle between Cortina d'Ampezzo and Passo Valparola (one way), approximately €3 ; lift to La Villa - Stern, approximately €13.
- Day 7: Shuttle between La Villa and Pedraces (if you choose this hike), approximately €3; shuttle between San Cassiano or Sciaré and La Villa (one way), approximately €3.
- Day 8: Shuttle between La Villa and Corvara (if you choose this hike), approximately €3.
- Day 9: Shuttle between La Villa and Passo Gardena (one way or round trip), approximately €3 to 6.
- Day 10: Lift from Ortisei to Alpe di Siusi (round trip), approximately €35.
- Day 11: Lift from Ortisei to Seceda (round trip), approximately €52.
- Tickets to visit monuments or museums.
- Drinks and tips.
Currencies
Better to have cash in the most remote areas to purchase extras (ex.: for drinks). Huts do not always accept credit cards.
