This cycling loop from Bordeaux is an adventure through the region's most prestigious landscapes and vineyards. From Bordeaux, the route begins on the wine route to Saint-Émilion, where the hills and châteaux of the vineyards offer a first glimpse into the world of wine and the great Bordeaux vintages. After a stopover in this UNESO World Heritage village, you head for Blaye, to discover its Vauban citadel and military fortifications. From its port, a boat trip across the Gironde estuary takes you to the heart of the Médoc. Here, one renowned wine estate follows another, notably Château Margaux, set against a backdrop of well-tended vineyards and sumptuous châteaux. The return journey to Bordeaux takes you along the quiet roads of the Médoc, with magnificent views over the vineyards. A complete immersion in one of the world's most famous wine-growing regions.
